Calendrier non fait

GRAND TOURING AMATEUR LEAGUE

Inscription non ouverte...(pour l'instant)

I. General Series Information
1.The 2010 Grand Touring Amateur League (GTAL) series is defined as a series running seven
events in the Live for Speed simulation software using at least one of each track
environment and restricted GTR class cars.
2.The series is restricted to amateur or rookie drivers to endurance league racing, or higher-
tiered league racing in general.
3.Each round will be three days long. Days 1 and 2 are Sunday and Friday, with qualifying
sessions, Day 3 is race day on Saturday.
II. GTAL Car Restrictions
1.The series runs with GT2-class restrictions. They are:
a)FZ50 GTR (FZR) shall carry 20 percent of intake restriction
b)FXO GTR (FXR) shall carry 23 percent of intake restriction
c)XR GTR shall carry 24 percent of intake restriction.
2.Failure to carry the required intake restriction in any session will result in exclusion from that
session.
III.Entry Procedure
1.There are 29 full-time positions available in the GTAL series. To earn one of these spots, you
must apply via email and all procedures stated in the application thread.
a)Applications are accepted through the season, but to get one of the initial 29 spots, the
team must apply within the initial application period.
2.The administration will review all applications and determine acceptance or refusal after
applications period closes. Accepted teams will be assigned a number between 01 and 29
for the season, and a skin kit will be provided.
a)Teams are assigned numbers on the following criteria: 01-10 based off of returning teams
from last year, with 01 to the highest classified returning team. 11-29 will be given first to
returning teams, then to any new teams to the series.
b)All teams accepted but not placed in the initial 29 are placed on a waiting list, and may
continue to keep an updated roster and will be notified if they are needed to fill in for a
round. Waiting list teams are called up as needed in the order they are listed on the
waiting list, and assigned successive numbers starting from 30.
c)Any team that misses two rounds, either at any time in the season or consecutively, will be placed to the end of the waiting list.
3.Team lineups and information may be updated at any time in the season, following the
same procedure as applications.
IV.Advanced Drivers
1.An “Advanced Driver” is deemed to be one who has competed in an International GT
Championship (IGTC) or Masters of Endurance (MoE) race.
a)Advanced Drivers are automatically prohibited from taking part in GTAL events if they
have previously driven in IGTC or MoE at any time. If a team feels that this is an incorrect
decision, then they may submit an appeal to have the driver included. Only one appeal
for the driver may be sent.
b)If the driver is listed on the initial application for the team, the driver will automatically be
considered, and this decision will not go against the appeal count.
c)Factors in determining allowance include but are not limited to: Time since last IGTC or
MoE race, pace in IGTC or MoE races, number of IGTC/MoE races, and overall LFS
Statistics.
2.Should an Advanced driver be listed on a teams GTAL Roster, race in a GTAL race, then take
part in an IGTC or MoE race during the current season, that driver may finish the rest of the
GTAL season unless the administration deem the driver to have become too advanced. If
the driver has not made a GTAL start in the current season prior to the first IGTC or MoE
appearance, then they will have to be appealed to be permitted to race.
3.This rule solely affects the drivers of a team, not the team. A team may field cars in any
series, but the drivers must be cleared to race in GTAL.
V. Confirmations Procedure
1.All teams are required to confirm their attendance for a round by making a post in the
appropriate thread prior to 23:59 UTC on the Wednesday preceding the round.
a)To be accepted, a confirmation must include the team name, number, car and at least
one driver. Failure to confirm with at least this by the deadline will result in a 10-place
grid penalty to be applied to the team.
b)If any team fails to confirm by 17:59 UTC on the Thursday preceding the round, then the
next team on the waiting list will be called in to fill the position. The waiting list team
then has preference for the round on the position. c)Teams are permitted to confirm no more than five (5) main drivers for a race and a
maximum of three (3) reserve drivers. For races 12 hours long, the maximum primary
driver limit is raised to seven (7).
d)A team may change their confirmation after the deadline but before the race without
penalty, but must notify the administration. Changes made after will result in a Stop-Go
Penalty. Reserve drivers moved to primary will not incur this penalty, this is only for
drivers who were not on the confirmations post.
VI.Qualifying Procedure
1.Each round will have two days of qualifying, the field split into two groups. Each session is
30 minutes in length. Group 1 is from 19:00 to 19:30 UTC, Group 2 is from 19:40 UTC until
20:10 UTC.
a)Cars 01 through 15 are in Group 1, Cars 16 through 29 are in group 2.
b)A waiting list team will run in the session that the team they are filling the spot for was
assigned to. Any waiting list team called in following the completion of Qualifying
session 1 will be permitted to run in both Groups for that round on the Friday.
c)No Pool 2 drivers may be in server while Pool 1 is in progress, and no Pool 1 driver may be
in server while Pool 2 is in progress. Being in server during the incorrect session incurs a
warning level offense and a kick, rejoining or leaving a pit garage will result in a loss of
the teams fastest lap from that qualifying. The administration will announce when the
server is open for the other session to join.
2.A maximum of two (2) drivers per team may be in server during the qualifying session. Only
one driver per team may be on course at any given time. Having two cars on track at one
time will result in all laps in progress or completed during the time period being nullified.
3.No team is to telepit or spectate from anywhere on the course, except to end their session.
The only time a driver is allowed to telepit or spectate and rejoin is after starting a pit stop
4.The driver who is credited in the official qualifying results with the fastest lap for that team
must drive at least one complete lap of the race, not including an out lap or an in lap.
Failure to have the qualifying driver complete this will result in a one-lap penalty to the
team's race result.
5.The team which wins the pole position may choose whether to start from the left or right
side of the grid for the start.VII.Race Procedure
1.GTAL races are either three (3), six (6), or twelve (12) hours in length. 3 hour races start from
18:00 UTC, 6 hour races from 14:00 UTC, and 12 hour races from 11:00 UTC. Drivers must be
in the server no later than ten (10) minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
a)At 10 minutes, the administration will be setting the grid. There is to be no chat during
this procedure. Each line of chat after the first is a loss of 2 points per line to the team.
b)The race will be started with a rolling start behind the Safety Car. Drivers are to remain in
grid order for one lap, single file, until the last turn or other point, at which time the field
must form into double-file. The field must maintain approximately pit lane speed until
the green flag is shown, at which point all cars are free to overtake.
c)The race administration may wave off a start attempt due to bad formation or other
issues.
d)If a team times out during the pace lap, and cannot rejoin before the leaders take the
green, they will be credited the missed pace lap in the tracker. The pace lap, is counted
against the time limit, but is not a racing lap and thus can be credited to a team.
2.A team may use no more than 6 drivers in a race week (8 for the 12 hour race), including
qualifying and race. Using more without race control permission will result in a 10-point
penalty to the team.
a)Driver swaps during a race may be made freely, there is no limit on number of driver
changes. The entering driver may only join the server on the current driver's in lap, and
the outgoing driver must leave within one lap of the takeover. Failure to leave will result
in a kick for the offending driver, and possibly a DT penalty to the team.
b)Penalties incurred by the incoming driver will be applied after the pit stop and takeover is
completed.
c)No single driver may drive more than 75% of the winning team's race distance. If there is
evidence that there is no other driver to replace the driver exceeding the limit, the team
may be parked before the end of the race.
d)On completion of the race, all cars are to slow below race pace, and return to pit lane.
The top three drivers are to park at the finish line for a podium picture.
VIII.Safety Car
1.The Safety Car is used by administration to neutralize the race in the event of a car stranded on track or a major incident, as well as to start the race.
2.When the message “SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED” appears on screen and the track indicator
button changed to “T: YELLOW”, all drivers are to cease racing for position, and gently show
down and be alert for any situation on track while proceeding around to catch the Safety
Car queue.
a)Pit lane remains open for entry at all times during the race unless the entry is blocked by
an incident. While the SC queue is passing the pit exit, the pit exit will close and all
drivers are to wait at the end of pit lane until the exit reopens. Exiting a closed pit exit
will result in an SG penalty.
b)If the Safety Car does not pick up the leader, any cars between it and the leader will be
waved around until the leader is the first car behind the Safety Car.
3.During the Safety Car period, all lapped cars between the leader at last car on the lead lap at
the time of the Safety Car will be waved around to put all lead lap cars at time of
deployment in line. The cars not getting called around must not tyre warm and must stay to
the directed side of track. Failure to do so will result in a SG penalty. Cars waved around
must hold the order they were called around in and restart from the back of the line.
4.When the administration feels the course is ready for racing again, it will indicate that the
Safety Car is coming in, and the SC will extinguish its lights. In the last sector, the SC will
accelerate away and head to the pits. When it crosses the first safety car line, a message
saying “SAFETY CAR IN PITS – LEADER CONTROLS FIELD” will appear and the track status will
change to “T: RESTART”.
a)The leader controls pace from the time the SC turns its lights out, and may go when he
wishes as long as he does not
1.Overtake the Safety Car before it passes the first Safety Car Line
2.Slow the field down slower than Safety Car speed except for natural slowing points
3.Slow the field down again after beginning to accelerate for the restart, except for
natural slowing points.
b)There is to be no overtaking before the start/finish line on a restart. Overtaking before
the line is penalize by a DT penalty.
c)The Green flag will fly no earlier than when the leader has started to accelerate on the
start/finish straight.5.If a car spins or otherwise cannot maintain Safety Car speed, they may be overtaken and
must rejoin the queue in the position in which they recover.
6.Cars entering pit lane may overtake cars still on the track after passing the first safety car line
7.Cars exiting pit lane may be overtaken by cars still on the track before it crosses the second
safety car line.
8.If the safety car is deployed in the final lap, all racing is to cease and the order will be taken
from the order at the time of safety car deployment.
IX.Red Flags
1.A red flag may be used when the race director feels that conditions on course are unsafe for
Safety Car conditions, or if an incident involves more than approximately 80% of the field.
2.Upon issuance of the red flag, all racers shall continue around the track at greatly reduced
pace and park in line at the start/finish line. Except in cases of force majeure (such as server
failure or major incident blocking the circuit) the field will be under Safety Car control
before the red flag is displayed.
a)A red flag during racing means that all work on a car shall cease. If you are in the pit lane
when the red flag is issued, you are permitted to carry out pit stop level service.
b)Chat is expressly forbidden at all times during red flags. Any lines you say after the first
will incur a two-point penalty to the team. Anything said during the grid setting is also
included in this.
3.If the red flag occurs within the first fifteen (15) minutes of the race, the race will be
completely restarted over the original distance. After the first fifteen minutes, the timing
and scoring system will not stop during a red flag for an incident, and the time lost will not
be added to the end of the race.
4.Heavily damaged cars may be given assistance to return to the pits for service. These cars
will be charged with a one lap penalty for repairing under red flag with assistance. Cars that
can continue under their own power without assistance must wait until the race returns to
Safety Car status.
a)Any car who enters pit lane and carries out service during the red flag without getting
outside assistance will receive a SG penalty.
5.Cars that would be waved around under the SC will be released to go around the field a
planned time before the safety car resumes.6.Please see “Server Failure” for procedures for when the server has crashed.
X. Pit Lane
1.The pit lane shall remain open at all times during the race, unless an incident is blocking the
pit lane in any way.
2.You may use any currently open pit stall for your pit stop. Travel to the furthest pit box from
the entry to reduce risk of collisions in pit lane.
3.The blend line on pit exit is not to be crossed by all parts of the car. Crossing this line
completely will result in a DT penalty. Pit entry is not always enforced, but if it is, the same
penalty is available.
4.While in pit lane under safety car conditions, you may overtake freely as cars slow and speed
up for pitting.
XI.Protests
1.Protests must be submitted during the race or within 36 hours of race completion.
2.Protests received after the start of the final hour of the race will automatically be deferred to
after-race.
3.Protests must be submitted from teams involved in the incident. Teams submitting
protests not involving their car, or that stand to benefit and are deemed to submit protests
of other incidents solely for that reason are subject to penalties.
4.For a description and list of all penalties that may be assigned, please see the NDR Sporting
Code.
XII.Official Classification
1.All teams which start a GTAL race will be classified in the results and given points. The only
exception is if a team gets disqualified, then that team is placed behind all other teams and
is not eligible for any points from that round.
2.In the official results table, all teams running at the finish will have “Running” placed as the
reason. Reasons for Not finishing are as follows:
a)Accident: This team was involved in an accident and was unable to continue the race.
b)Suspension: This team was unable to return to pits due to excessive suspension damage.
c)Clutch: This team was unable to continue due to an overheated clutch.
d)Fuel: This team was unable to continue due to running out of fuel.
e)Retired: This team did not finish with any other applicable reason.f)Penalty: The driver was disqualified.
3.Drivers who time out or lose connection to the server while racing may rejoin to resume
their races, but must heed blue flags and use the tracker to see their battles.
a)Any disconnect deemed suspicious will be investigated.
4.If a team retires without permission of race control from outside of a pit garage, they will
incur a five (5) point penalty.
XIII.Championship
1.The official championship of GTAL is the Team Championship. Teams earn points based on
their finishing position in a race.
2.A team must start the race to earn points.
3.A team which changes car selection during the season loses all points earned with the
previous car.
4.There are bonus points available for qualifying on pole, and attending all races in the season
without receiving a disqualification. Points are awarded on the following scale:
Position Points Position Points
1 70 16 16
2 62 17 14
3 55 18 12
4 49 19 10
5 44 20 9
6 40 21 8
7 37 22 7
8 34 23 6
9 31 24 5
10 28 25 4
11 26 26 3
12 24 27 2
13 22 28 1
14 20 29 1
15 18 Disqualification 0
Pole Position 2 Attendance 10
5.Position points for 6 hour races are multiplied by 1.5. Position points for the 12 hour race are multiplied by 2. Bonus points do not change. Should the race be unable to be completed
prior to 75% distance, half of the available points will be awarded. After 75%, full points are
awarded.
XIV.Server Failure
1.Should the main server for GTAL experience a mass disconnect, or an inability to connect,
the race will be suspended.
2.There will be a decision made as to whether or not to abandon the remainder of the race or
return to the original server or move to a new server.
a)The decision will be posted in IRC, and the GTAL forum.
3.A failure during the race will see the order for a restart taken from the order at the last lap
completed by all cars prior to the server issues.
a)The time remaining at the last lap completed will determine how much time is left in the
restarted race. Should the hour be less than 30 minutes complete, the entire hour will be
restarted. Should the hour be more than 30 minutes complete, the entire hour will be
considered completed. If there was less than 30 minutes remaining at the countback, the
race will be declared as that result.
4.The second race will start behind the safety car as a standard safety car restart, with cars
credit with the laps completed at the back-count. Time gaps will be erased.
a)The laps will be credited to the teams in the tracker, and the summation of the Part 1 laps
plus the result of Part 2 will be totaled to get the results.
5.There will be at least a 15-minute delay to ensure all information is correct for grid
formation. The cars will be lined up in running order, and cars that would be waved around
in the restarting Safety Car will have their Part 1 laps adjusted accordingly.
XV.Communication
1.For efficient communication, use of IRC is mandatory. The server information will be posted
for each round in the drivers' briefing. There must be at minimum one active team
representative who is in direct contact with the team in this channel.
a)Failure to have a representative when needed will result in at least a DT penalty to the
team, as well as a loss of 5 points to the team.
2.Race administration will also be available in a Ventrilo server during the course of the race.
3.Blocking of in-game messages is prohibited and will result in a warning to the team to unblock messages. If the messages remain blocked, a DT penalty will be issued to the team.
4.Chat is prohibited during any session. In qualifying, there will be one fastest session lap
removed for chat on a per line basis. In the race, a DT penalty is issued. Repeat offenses
may merit an SG penalty.
XVI.Miscellaneous
1.The administration will provide compulsory elements to be worn on the car liveries for all
teams. Failure to run these in qualifying will result in a loss of fastest session lap to the team.
In the race, a DT penalty will be issued.
2.Failure to format a driver name or number plate correctly will result in a DT penalty to the
team. Please see the NDR Sporting Code for the correct format.
3.The administration reserve the right to modify this document at any time for any reason it
deems fit.
